PUBG Mobile has taken India by storm, to the point where everyone and their little cousin are playing the game.
As with any phenomenon like this, rumours spring up like weeds, with the latest being an apparent ban on the game throughout all of India.
What looked like a legal notice has been doing the rounds on Facebook recently, or at least what seems to be a photo of such an order. It mentions how the game is supposedly distracting students from their education and is creating a nuisance.

Of course, even a somewhat cursory study of the text will show you that the "ruling" is kinda suspect. For one thing, there's no High Court of Maharashtra, that would have to instead have been the Bombay High Court. It's also signed by a prejudge, a designation that doesn't exist within the Indian judicial system. And of course there are also multiple grammatical errors in the text that are a dead giveaway.
It's clear this is just a troll post which, since it can can't cause any real harm, was clearly designed for shits and giggles. And it stands to reason, given that about 62 percent of Indians play the game, some for even up to eight hours a week.

There was in fact a recent PUBG ban, but this was one initiated by the developers. In the wake of a mass of cheaters in the game, the developers released an anti-cheat module within the last Vikendi update, that can detect and auto-ban players for installing mods that break the game in their favour.
So far, at least 30,000 accounts have been banned, including those of a few pro players as well.
