We commonly hear instances of kids or teenagers stealing money from their parents¡¯ wallet, however, this kid went straight to his grandfather¡¯s pension account, stealing nearly two lakh and spending it all on PUBG Mobile.
This was done by a 15-year old boy in Mohali, Punjab. Reported first by Tribune, the teenager stole money from his grandfather¡¯s pension account and made purchases in PUBG Mobile game by buying ¡®Unknown Cash¡¯.

The report highlights the fact that the teenager only started playing the game in January. After being influenced by a school senior he learnt to make discreet payments from the aforementioned account. The teenager made 30 payments in the last two months amounting to a whopping Rs 55,000.
He made a PayTM account on his grandfather¡¯s name and even used his documents to clear the verification process. Once the account was made and linked, he used it to purchase UC credits in PUBG Mobile, which would then be loaded into the game for making in-game purchases.?
The parents only found out about it after they were going through the statements of the pension account and found several anomalies. When questioned, he revealed that using this method he has spent over two lakhs on the battle royale game.
The family has made a formal complaint against the senior who taught and encouraged him to conduct this fraud. The report also revealed that the family has sent an email to Mohali SSP Kuldeep Singh Chahal stating that the teenager was ¡®lured¡¯ by the senior to participate in such activities. The senior is also a resident of Mohali, in the small town of Zikarpur.?
This news comes right after another incident where a 17-year-old boy reportedly spent Rs 16 lakh on PUBG Mobile by using his parent¡¯s bank accounts. According to the family, the money was saved up for medical emergencies.?
