Paid subscribers of Twitter Blue will now get the feature of prioritising their ranking during searches, mentions and even replies, according to the updated About Twitter Blue page.?
Basically, now a Blue user¡¯s comments and interactions will be more visible compared to those on free versions of the app.
In case you didn't know, the Blue service offers the popular verified sign to anyone willing to subscribe to the service. These users get advantages such as less-frequent advertisements. The new feature offering priority ranking could however tempt many users to finally subscribe to the service.?
Twitter support¡¯s official notes state that this could help lower the visibility of scams, spams and bots. Twitter however hasn¡¯t clarified how it will help in avoiding scams or spam comments.?
Apart from this, Twitter has also granted paid users the ability to upload 60-minute-long videos. This includes a video that¡¯s under 2GB in size and capped at 1080p resolution.
To put things into perspective, regular users earlier had the option of uploading a video up to 10 minutes and up to 512MB of storage.
The feature, sadly, is only available on Twitter Web for now, however, it shouldn¡¯t take too long to be rolled to the iOS and Android variants of the app.
Do you think getting priority on the ranking of comments, profiles etc is enough to tempt users to subscribe to Twitter Blue? Tell us in the comments below.
