As India's Covid-19 crisis worsens, and people are desperately looking for help on social media, help from outside of the country is coming in several forms -- including from Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai.
Both of these Indian-origin big tech executives pledged their support towards helping Indians through the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.

Over the last weekend, several nations have pledged to extend a helping hand towards India's Covid-19 crisis, where over 3 lakh Covid-19 cases are being added to the tally on a daily basis.
Everyone from Singapore to Saudi Arabia has sent oxygen to Indian hospitals, which has faced an acute shortage of oxygen tanks to treat critical Covid-19 patients, resulting in large scale fatalities.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella expressed his anguish on the situation through his Twitter account, where he said he was "heartbroken" to see the current Covid-19 situation in India.
Nadella further expressed his gratefulness to US mobilizing to help India's worsening Covid-19 crisis, by further underscoring that Microsoft remains committed to doing its bit in aid relief efforts and support purchase of critical oxygen concentration devices.
Soon after Satya Nadella's tweet, Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pichai also commented on India's Covid-19 crisis. Sundar Pichai said that Google and Google employees are pitching in to help with relief efforts.

Google's Sundar Pichai said the company and its employees are donating Rs 135 crore to GiveIndia and Unicef for purchase of critical meedical care equipments and support for marginalized communities during this difficult time.
Sanjay Gupta, Country Head & VP, Google, wrote in a Google blog post, "Today we¡¯re announcing 135 Crore INR ($18 million USD) in new funding for India. This includes two grants from Google.org, Google¡¯s philanthropic arm, totalling 20 Crore INR ($2.6 million USD). The first is to GiveIndia to provide cash assistance to families hit hardest by the crisis to help with their everyday expenses. The second will go to UNICEF to help get urgent medical supplies, including oxygen and testing equipment, to where it¡¯s needed most in India."
Google and Sundar Pichai further underscored how the company continues to support India with Covid-19 related features across search in eight Indian languages, with information related to where to get testing and vaccines, where "Maps and Search surface thousands of vaccine sites, and we are working to add tens of thousands more. We¡¯re also collaborating closely with the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, and with organizations like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, to support vaccine awareness initiatives."
