Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is visiting India. After spending his first day talking to audiences in Mumbai yesterday, today he addressed the developers at the Future Decoded Summit in Bengaluru where he discussed what Indian developers should do in the coming decade with their products, adopting artificial intelligence among other things, to make lives convenient for all.
Satya said that the last ten years, even though they were a considerable jump in the way the world computes was still narrow. However, in the coming decade, he urged developers to dream more.?
He said, ¡°In the next ten years, can we dream even more? Can we even have that broad cross-sectoral impact in an economy like India, where we can think about retail to healthcare to agri-tech -- everything being changed by digital technology. I think that¡¯s the opportunity in front of us.¡±
He said that core tech fabric has started to get embedded into our world -- from our homes to offices even cricket stadiums. We have basic computing in almost every product. And he wants to use this to make intelligence ambient and available to the masses.?
Satya urged developers from creating proprietary technology to drive things forward, but only after they¡¯ve adopted an existing technology first and see how it works. Later one can pushing the barriers and create proprietary technology for specific applications.?
He also spoke about three noteworthy considerations that developers today must keep in mind to create effective and impactful products.?
He focused on making products more inclusive, in all fields and walks of life. He also asked developers to form trust in their users. Lastly, he urged to focus on making products that are sustainable and don¡¯t severely impact the environment.?
Satya Said, ¡°We have an unprecedented opportunity to apply technology to drive economic growth that is inclusive, trusted and sustainable everywhere, including in India.¡±
He further added, ¡°I want to know who is doing interesting things in India in technology, development, cloud and digital twin and hybrid computing. That's the reason I am here in India.¡±
