Bajaj has taken the veils off the most anticipated electric scooter in the country. And as can be judged from the legacy, the Chetak electric is a promising offering too!
For starters, the electric scooter claims a range of 95 km on a single charge in Eco mode. The same range drops to 85 km in Sports mode. This is made possible by a?3 kWh IP67 lithium-ion battery. The battery, however, misses out on fast charging support and can be charged to full capacity in around 5 hours.?A single hour of charging can deliver about 25 percent of the total battery capacity, i.e. around 20 km on the run.
Coupled to this battery is a?4 kW electric motor that produces 16 Nm of peak torque. All the latest features accustomed to electric scooters?are also present on the Chetak electric. An interesting claim by the company is that the Chetak electric is the only e-scooter in the country with a metal finish.

Other performance specs include a 100 km range through a lithium ion battery which can be fully charged within 4 hours.?
For this, the company limits the top speed of the scooter to around 30 km in the Eco mode.
