Emojis have truly transformed the way we communicate with others. The flat special-character emoticons are now replaced by more expressive and emoting emojis. And today is World Emoji Day.
Celebrating the existence of emojis this world emoji day, Apple CEO Tim Cook tweeted sharing a new bunch of cool emojis and Animojis that it is bringing to the Apple devices -- including the iPhone in the upcoming iOS 14 operating system.
The tweet says, ¡°With new headwear options and masks in iOS 14 ¡ª we¡¯ve got you covered! Happy #WorldEmojiDay!¡±?
Along with this tweet, Tim Cook has attached a small video where Amimoji faces appear wearing not just face masks, but also different kinds of head wears and accessories including a doctor with scrubs, a construction worker with a hardhat, a fireman with red hardhat, a chef¡¯s hat as well as a hijab among several other options for limitless customisations.?
The mask Memoji / Animoji feature was touted when Apple showcased iOS 14 at WWDC -- a much-needed inclusion after the ordeal COVID-19 has put our world through.?
Apple has also revealed a new set of standard emojis (reported first by GSMarena) that will be rolling out on the upcoming iOS 14. These include 13 new additions -- the Dodo bird, nesting dolls, pinata and tamale.?
You also get the ¡°Italian¡± pinched hand gesture, boomerang, ninja. However, the best, in my opinion, is a coin emoji that reads ¡°The Crazy Ones¡± with a 2020 denomination and a Bald eagle in the centre of it. In case you didn¡¯t know, The Crazy Ones is from one of the most iconic Steve Job¡¯s speeches.?
Along with this iOS 14 brought in a slight refresher in its aesthetics with the inclusion of dynamic widgets on the home screen to allow better productivity and ease of access in case of certain applications.
