For its first smartphone launch of the year 2021, Xiaomi India has introduced Mi 10i in the country at a starting price of Rs 20,999. A rebranded version of the Redmi Note 9 5G launched in China last month, the Mi 10i has been quite an anticipated offering in the smartphone market of India.
The high-end specifications of the smartphone have largely been responsible for this. So was the lineage that the Mi 10i comes from - a Mi 10 series that includes Mi 10t, Mi 10t Pro, Mi 10 5G and more.
With the aggressive pricing announced now, Xiaomi has made sure that the anticipation turns to excitement among the general buyers for the device. But are the specifications really good enough to shell out your money on the Mi 10i? Here are some reasons that might justify the expense for you -

The expanded storage can be coupled with an 8GB RAM for a variant that costs Rs 23,999. The devices come with an expandable storage capacity of up to 512GB using an external microSD.
On paper, the Mi10i looks promising for photographic capabilities offered by smartphones in this price range. The Mi 10i features a quad-camera setup at the back housing a 108 MP primary sensor. The main sensor is coupled to an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2 MP macro sensor as well as a 2 MP depth sensor. At the front is a 16 MP selfie shooter.
With the configuration, the smartphone boasts of a range of features including timed burst, 6 long exposure modes, Night mode 2.0, Google Lens, dual video (selfie camera + main camera) and a video recording capability of 4K, FHD and HD.
Mi 10i offers a considerable battery backup with a capacity of 4,820 mAh, very likely to power one¡¯s smartphone usage through the day. An added plus is the support for 33W fast charging promised by the smartphone.
Xiaomi claims that the smartphone can be charged upto 68% within 30 minutes. A full charge of 0 to 100% will take just under an hour.
