The image was captured by NASA¡¯s InSight (Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport) Mars lander on April 10. To the unaware, this is a stationary Mars lander that is looking at the quakes of the planet and its interior.?
The image shows a grey-ish warm sky with a tiny sun on the horizon with the Martian surface actually appearing dark grey at the brink of dawn and InSight¡¯s hardware hanging on the top.?

The lander is situated in the Elysium Planitia region of Mars in November 2018. The probe¡¯s primary mission is complete -- spending a whole Martian year on the Red Planet -- around 687 Earth days. The mission is now in an extended phase and it tends to keep us all entertained with interesting images from the planet.?

The image was shared by NASA on its official Instagram account. In the caption, it explained InSight¡¯s mission, ¡°With its seismometer and other scientific instruments, InSight has measured hundreds of "Marsquakes", studied mysterious magnetic pulses, and given us incredible views like this one; what we're learning from InSight will not only reveal how planets like Mars first formed, it will help us understand the Red Planet's patterns as we prepare for humans to explore Mars on future NASA missions.¡±
