The renowned Hanuman Garhi laddoos of Ayodhya have been registered for a GI tag, following Tirupati Balaji.?GI tag refers to the?geographical location or origin of a product.?Any association or company producing the goods may seek to have a GI tag placed on it.?
The first Indian product to receive a GI tag was Darjeeling tea, which went into effect on September 15, 2003.
Manish Singh, a devotee, expressed his joy that Hanuman Garhi applied for a GI tag.?"For the past ten years, I have been visiting the Hanuman Garhi temple every Tuesday.?I came here to see the 4:00 a.m. Mangla aarti. I learned today that the Hamungarhi laddus have GI tag registration. It is something we are all proud of."
"It's a fantastic accomplishment," Manish Singh continued.
Rajnikant, credited with getting GI tags for over 30 items, shared that the application for GI tag was been prepared by his team and Halwai Kalyan Samiti of Ayodhya is the applicant.
Ayodhya is home to the renowned Bajrangbali Hanumangarhi temple.?It is stated that no one may receive the darshan of Lord Ram without the permission of Lord Hanuman, who is revered as the Kotwal of Ayodhya.
