After facing a massive backlash on social media, Ranveer Allahbadia, a.k.a. BeerBiceps, has finally come up with an apology for the offensive remarks he made on the comedian Samay Raina's show called India's Got Latent.
The latest episode of India's Got Talent's only member video aired on Sunday, and since then it has taken the internet by storm because of its unfiltered and various offensive comments made by the panellists.
It is not the first time that Samay's show has grabbed eyeballs across the internet for the controversial statements made on the show, but this time popular YouTuber, Ranbeer Allahbadia, who was awarded the National Creator Award the previous year, seemed to cross all limits, as per social media users. However, now he has come with an apology for the same.
Ranbeer Allahbadia is one of India's top YouTubers with over one crore subscribers on YouTube; hence, the recent comments made by him on the latest episode of IGL left fans shocked and disappointed.
Facing a continuous backlash since yesterday, Allahbadia finally shared an apology video on his X (formerly called Twitter), saying, "My comment wasn't just inappropriate; it wasn't even funny. Comedy is not my forte; I'm here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I wish to use my platform, and obviously this is not how I wish to use it, I'm not going to give any context or justification or reasoning behind whatever happened; I'm just here for an apology. I personally had a lapse in judgment; it wasn't cool on my part." Sharing the video on X, he captioned it writing, "I shouldn't have said what I said on India's got latent. I'm sorry."
Here's the full video:?
In the latest episode of India's Got Talent, Indian podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia asked a question to a contestant that the majority of the social media users found offensive. Ranveer asked, ¡°Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life¡ªor would you join in once and stop it forever?¡±
Therefore, since the episode aired, netizens have shown extreme outrage and also urged people to unfollow him.
As Ranveer Allahbadia has issued an apology video on his X, some users think it's not worth apologising if the pattern keeps repeating. One wrote, "No point in apologising if the pattern keeps repeating, one wrote, "No point in apologizing if the pattern keeps repeating. Integrity is about consistency, not just damage control."
While another showed sympathy and wrote, "With you, bro"
Another questioned his mind, saying, "It's just that the filth in your mind came out after so many years being suppressed inside. Do you stand before your parents with that face and talk to them with this mouth? What you said is filth beyond comprehension. No wonder your father had kept you where you should've been. He was right always."
Apart from Ranveer Allahbadia, India's other top social media influencers and YouTubers including Apoorva Makhija, Ashish Chanchlani and comedian Jaspreet Singh were also present on the show.?
