Blake Lively's popularity has taken a significant hit following her dispute with Justin Baldoni. The two co-stars of It Ends With Us, the movie adaptation of Colleen Hoover's best-selling novel, have reportedly reached an impasse and have decided to continue their disagreements. The dispute is now set to be settled in a trial scheduled for March 2026, further fueling the ongoing media frenzy. Amid this backlash, every detail of Lively's past is being scrutinized more closely, with recent revelations shedding new light on her alleged problematic professional behavior.
Reddit has dug out an old report about the Gossip Girl alum that suggests that she temporarily halted production on her 2020 film The Rhythm Section in 2017 for an extended period, reportedly six months, after suffering a knuckle injury. While it's common for the production to get delayed after such unforeseen circumstances, it's the duration of the hiatus that has sparked backlash against the actress.
A Redditor shared a screenshot of a Deadline report that stated, "As we know, Lively injured her knuckle during production in December 2017, forcing filming to shut down for six months. But I'm told by multiple sources that didn't spike the production cost, as insurance covered the gap."
Not Blake Lively, shutting down production for six months because she injured her knuckle in 2017. LOL

Reacting to the post, one user wrote, "I just saw the TikTok that she hijacked this film too." "This person is insane!!!" another Redditor wrote. "WHAT?! It's so grotesque that it's funny," commented another person.
"Insanity!! So once again she sabotaged the filming because she didn't get her way!" wrote another person.
However, some also came out in the actress's support, stating that she broke her hand during the shooting and had to undergo surgeries for the same.
A Redditor also pointed out that The Rhythm Section was affected by creative differences between Blake Lively and the production house. Blake and the film's director, Reed Morano, had a vision for the movie that was more in line with a Bond-type film, with a focus on action and espionage. However, the producers, Eon Productions, had a different idea, wanting to take the film in a darker, more noir-inspired direction.
Based on a novel by Mark Burnell, the film was a box office flop and a critical disappointment.
Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have reached a tentative resolution after two months of legal battles, agreeing to continue their dispute. On Thursday, their lawyers submitted a joint letter to a Manhattan judge overseeing their lawsuits.
Lively's lawsuit, filed on December 31, accuses Baldoni of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment on set, along with launching a retaliatory smear campaign.
In response, Baldoni countersued two weeks later, seeking $400 million in defamation damages, naming Lively's husband, Ryan Reynolds, and her publicists as co-defendants, following a separate defamation claim against The New York Times.
