The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards winners have been revealed for its 2021 competition, which include a video category winner from India. This year, photos were chosen from 7,000 plus entries from all across the world. Moreover, every year the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards support a different charity and this time it is the Gunung Palung Orangutan Project, a movement to protect wild orangutans.?
This genre of photography awards saw a multitude of hilarious photographs of animals as usual in their natural habitat. From a golden silk monkey show of aggression and a Bald Eagle missed on its attempt to grab this prairie dog, the competition has a variety of really funny and amusing photographs that prove even animals in the wild can have a little fun.
The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards were founded in 2015 by professional photographers Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam with the aim to create a competition that focused on the lighter side of wildlife photography and help promote wildlife conservation through humour.
The contest quickly gained popularity and this year the winners of the contest were announced in front of millions of viewers on the BBC's "The One Show".?

During his vacation in China, photographer Ken Jensen clicked that winning picture on the bridge that flows over the Xun river in Longsheng Gorge, Yunnan in 2016. Ken won a safari trip in the Kenya Masai Mara, a handmade trophy made in Tanzania, and a custom-made photo bag with this winning photo.
¡°A golden silk monkey in Yunnan China - this is actually a show of aggression however in the position that the monkey is in it looks quite painful!¡±, Ken Jensen said.

A majestic bald eagle seemingly deterred by a brave prairie dog. Arthur announced that the dog had managed to escape from the eagle.
"When this Bald Eagle missed on its attempt to grab this prairie dog, the prairie dog jumped towards the eagle and startled it long enough to escape to a nearby burrow. A real David vs Goliath story!.¡±,?Arthur Trevino said.

A beautiful picture shows a young otter being guided into the water by its mother. The photographer caught a very confused expression as the mother encouraged the child to enter the water.
¡°A smooth-coated otter "bit" its baby otter to bring it back to and fro for a swimming lesson,¡± says Chee Kee Teo.

Video Category Award winner 2021 goes to Indian photographer Rahul Lakhuni's clip, titled ¡°Hugging Best Friend after Lockdown¡±, with footage of a white-throated Kingfisher knocking over his friend in an overzealous hug in the Indian capital Delhi.

¡°Bald Eagles will use the same nest for years, even decades, adding new material to it at the beginning and throughout the nesting season. Normally, they are highly skilled at snapping branches off of trees while in flight. Possibly tired from working nonstop all morning on a new nest, this particular Bald Eagle wasn't showing its best form. Yes, sometimes they miss. Although this looks painful, and it might very well be, the eagle recovers with just a few sweeping wing strokes, and choses to rest a bit before making another lumber run.¡±,?David Eppley said.
