This year, photos were chosen from 7,000 plus entries from all across the world. Moreover, every year the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards support a different charity and this time it is the Gunung Palung Orangutan Project, a movement to protect wild orangutans.
This genre of photography awards saw a multitude of hilarious photographs of animals as usual in their natural habitat. From a laughing snake and a grumpy chameleon to a trio of Gentoo penguins and dancing kangaroos, the competition has a variety of funny animal pictures to make you laugh.
The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards were founded in 2015 by professional photographers Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam with the aim to create a competition that focused on the lighter side of wildlife photography and help promote wildlife conservation through humour.
