It's a known fact that Indians don't give two hoots about traffic rules. From jaywalking to not wearing helmets, people have broken every rule in the book. The hefty challans that came about after the newly amended Motor Vehicle Act?might have changed things to a certain extent.
But in terms of sensibility, we have a long way to go. Perhaps thinking the same, IFS Officer Parveen Kaswan shared a video of an elephant following traffic rules diligently.
In the video, the gentle giant is seen waiting on one side of the road for cars to pass by.?
In his caption for the tweet, Kaswan also shared facts about elephants. "Learn some traffic sense from this #tusker. Or he is just figuring out how to tackle this road which has come up on his way. #Elephants live for 60-70 years so they remember all their traditional routes of #migration. This one is forwarded from near Dalma," he said in his post.
While Kaswan used this video to urge people to follow rules, other lashed out against him saying that the animal seems like it lost its way.
Here's what people had to say:?

"Poor thing is so clueless...mute creatures are victims of unsustainable human development," a user wrote in the comments section.
Many pointed out that humans have, in fact, made life miserable for these animals. Forget following traffic rules, we've encroached upon their habitat and in the video the elephant is possibly terrified for making it's way to a busy highway.?
