Instances of wild animals running amok and creating a rampage have been increasing day by day. But one can not blame these animals entirely for that. Thanks to urbanization, humans have been slowly making their own space in these animals' habitats.
A video showing the same has been posted online by IFS officer Susanta Nanda. The video shows a rhinoceros running in a town full of people. "When the human settlement strays into a rhino habitat¡ Don¡¯t confuse with Rhino straying into a town," read the caption of the video.
The IFS officer meant that the animal strayed into town only because we humans are expanding our space by taking over the forests.?In the clip, the rhinoceros can be seen racing down a street. There have been no reports of anyone being injured as of now. It's not clear whether it's a recent incident or one from India.
The video has garnered over 71 k views since being uploaded. Many people commented as well and blamed the government for allowing settlements near the forests. ¡°Why does the government allow any settlements near the forests or animal habitats? Can¡¯t they be removed, if they really want to?" wrote a Twitter user. Another person wrote, ¡°For others its ¡°Jumanji"¡but its another normal day in Assam."?
Someone else wrote, "Strays! Nope.Humans encroach upon the Space Nature has meant for its Fauna."
