Who doesn't love the story of a good rescue? Well, this one won't disappoint either.?
In an incident reported from Anjangaon Bari in Badnera, Amravati in Maharashtra, a leopard, no older than a year, and the dog it was chasing after both landed up inside a well. Luckily for all involved, this is a story of an amazing rescue.
According to a tweet from IFS officer Jayoti Banerjee, forest officials were quick on their feet, and managed to save both animals.
The tweet goes on to clarify that the leopard was treated and is now doing well. The incident is reported to have taken place on the morning of August 14.
'Both rescued by our #ForestGuards this morning. #RapidRescueTeamForestAmravati reached the site immediately & got them out safely. The leopard has been treated & doing wellPC #FGAmolGawner,' read Ms Banerjee's tweet. Responding to a user whoa sked that she post the photo of the dog as well, Ms Banerjee wrote:

In another case of a rescue job done well, three leopard cubs found in a sugarcane field in Pune earlier this year were reunited with their mother. Given that the human-animal conflict is at its peak today, this story did its part in abating fears that the outcome would be bad.
Reportedly, March is one time of the year that such cases increase. This is when sugarcane is harvested and leopards usually stray into these areas in search for food.?
