Anthony Wesley, a Queensland-based amateur astronomer, did something rather extraordinary, in order to get a better view of JupiterĄ¯s red spot. He clicked amazing pictures of the spot, using a DIY homemade camera. The hurricane on Jupiter is said to be twice as big as the earth, and a bright orangish-red.
According to Mashable, Wesley mounted a camera on top of a telescope, made up of mirrors and metal frames. He has been keeping a close eye on the changes in the spot. Once a government programmer, he now works for a photo company in his backyard.
He has garnered a lot of praise for his efforts ¨C from people and the astronomers.?
