Ever wondered how things work, like where we get the things we often use daily? This viral video that was shared on X is one clue. It shows hot melted metal being poured into grooves made in sand. Since metal is so hot, one way of moulding and giving it shape is in sand. The video is oddly mesmerising and you can watch it on loop.

In the clip shared on X by user '@Rainmaker1973,' he begins by using tiny tools to draw lines, pits and grooves in sand held in a container of sorts. He then proceeds to pour molten metal into the grooves, and lo and behold! Before you know it, the liquid metal takes the shape of the grooves he had made, objects he eventually pulls out to show that got moulded perfectly during the process. The clip goes on to show him using various shapes to create various objects using melted metal. The internet found the video oddly satisfying and could not stop watching it. Some even admitted to watching it on a loop.
The clip was shared on X on September 7 and has so far raked in 10.5 million views, 24.6k likes and comments to match. Take a look:
