But sometimes nature is surprising and does a beautiful thing that leaves us speechless with its ways. One such example is from Pune, where the delightful side of nature was seen across stretches from Manas lake towards Mulshi, Lavasa, and Tamhini ghat.

Thousands of yellow cosmos flowers have bloomed in the fields, on the hills, in the valleys, along the roadside.

Orange cosmos flowers bloom across stretches from Manas lake towards Mulshi, Lavasa and Tamhini ghat.

Cosmos flower is a member of the Compositae or Asteraceae family, just like their ‘cousins’: sunflowers, marigolds, yarrow, daisies, zinnias, lettuce and dandelions.

These easy-care flowers are perfect for a full sun position in your garden or a pot, growing through spring to autumn.

Not surprisingly, the name Cosmos comes from the Greek word ‘kosmos’ which means ‘beautiful’.
