Fortnite Games, in its latest development, has started taking legal action against an unnamed competitive player for cheating in its tournaments.?
The step is being taken in response to a Fortnite player cheating during a tournament, and Epic Games doesn't want to take it lightly. To address the issue, Epic Games has restructured the rules for competing in the FCNS Divisional Cups and other tournaments in Fortnite, especially the ones that are played for cash prizes.?
Currently, all the cash prizes are now at the highest levels of competitions, so players have to participate and go through multiple rounds before being able to compete for them.?
Additionally, Epic Games also warned its players that if someone is found teaming up with cheating in a tournament, they might face a minimum of a 28-day ban from the competition, and subsequently the duration will keep on increasing with every violation.?
According to the statement issued by Epic Games, if players face a competitive ban of 14 days or more, then they won't be able to compete in FCNS tournaments during that season or any season that the ban overlaps with.?
