GTA 6, a.k.a. Grand Theft Auto VI, continues to maintain its excitement among fans who are eagerly waiting for the second trailer launch. Amid the growing tension in the gaming community, there are rumours that GTA 6 is going to be the most expensive game of the year. Just around the fresh rumours, a former Grand Theft Auto developer has already revealed when Rockstar might make the call to delay GTA 6.?
It is anticipated that GTA 6 will cost around $3.5 billion to develop; however, this has raised questions by many as to why such a high development figure would be needed to produce this game.
The excitement among the fans is at its peak, and that's evident with every speculation made by the fans. Since the first trailer launch, fans had a release window till 2025.?
After releasing the first trailer in December 2023, Rockstar Games has maintained a silence over the next release. Adding to the new updates, Jason Scheirer, an American gaming journalist, revealed that they wouldn't be shocked if the game slips to a 2026 release. This update followed reporting from Scheirer stating that GTA 6 had missed multiple deadlines.?
Speculating the release date, fans continue to their painstaking wait posts, one posted on X (formerly called Twitter), ¡°GTA 6 is either going to get delayed to 2026 or release in 2025 but not fully baked."
While another noted, ¡°Nothing to do with trailer 2, but it just seems realistic for them to say fall 2025 but actually have a real date of late 2025 or early 2026."
Amid the speculations by the fans, a new update has come forward through the former GTA developer Obbe Vermeij, who has already stated that the team wouldn't know until around May 2025 if it needed a delay.?
He posted on X, ¡°Delaying is almost always the right option, imo,¡± and he is not sure how the classic GTA titles made their release date.?
Moreover, back in September, he said, the decision to delay GTA 6 was made 4 months or so before the original release date. It's hard to make the call.?
