Tech billionaire Elon Musk is making headlines amid a lot going on around him; recently, an audio clip of the Vice President of the United States, JD Vance, is making rounds on the internet.
In the audio clip, which has now broken social media, JD Vance is heard criticising the Tesla owner Elon Musk and his role in the administration of President Donald Trump.
He is heard saying that Musk getting criticised in the media makes the Trump government look bad.
The audio clip is now doing the rounds on social media, garnering millions of views on X, TikTok and Facebook. However, the audio clip is still unverified.
JD Vance continues to say, "And I'll tell you this, and you wouldn't like it if I said it, but he's not even an American," he continues. "He is from South Africa. It is cosmopolitan."
He further says that there is a great American leader in a room that has the portraits of some of the greatest men that ever lived in this country. "I am an elected official. I am the important one. In this situation, not him. So if he wants to tank the economy and his cars, maybe that's what he deserves," he adds.
Elon Musk's role in slashing federal government staffing and budgets continues to draw major backlash as about 90 Tesla showrooms across the United States face demonstrations on Saturday.
According to the Tesla Takedown website, they want people to 'sell your Teslas' and 'dump your stock'. Amid this, the US President, Donald Trump, and his aides have stepped in to help Musk and Tesla weather the storm and boost the company's dropping stock, raising questions about the ethics and the legality.
