Recently, there has been case after case showcasing the unique colours of Bengaluru. Whether it be the outrageous demands of the landlords or the stories from lonely bachelors living in the city, Bengaluru has created quite an image for itself on the internet.
Adding spice to the mix, a new anecdote by Twitter user Rohit Ghumare has gone viral on the micro-blogging platform. Ghumare shared how recently he lost his wallet in the city. He was panicking, considering the wallet contained important documents and his credit/debit cards which anyone could misuse had they wanted.
However, in Bengaluru, no such thing conspired. Ghumare was contacted by the cafe he had left his wallet at. They had found his details by searching his name on Google that they picked out from the documents in his wallet and returned his lost treasure back to him.?
He explained in a tweet, ¡°Bangalore is something else. I lost my wallet filled with my credit/debit cards as well as important documents. I panicked, Surprisingly I received one call from cafe I went yesterday. How they found my number? They googled my name. I guess this is @peakbengaluru moment.¡±
People online were also surprised by the cafe¡¯s earnest actions. One user wrote, ¡°Curious to know the cafe name. And ofcourse glad you found it, not happens always.¡±
Another joked, ¡°Highly likely they didn¡¯t know what it was that they found and didn¡¯t know what to make of it. Hardly anyone carries wallets in Bangalore. It¡¯s UPI all the way.¡±
One user pointed out, ¡°Do not do this in some other city and expect the same.¡±
While another shared their own experience of a similar situation that took place in Bengaluru with them, ¡°a similar thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago.¡±
