Bengaluru has been hit with heavy overnight rain many timesover the past several days, leaving many areas waterlogged and disrupting traffic.
As various parts of the city have flooded, residents have been posting dramatic footage of damage and rescue, on social media. One suchvideo is of a man saving an infant, carrying it out of a flooded house.
The rescue video, now viral on social media, is claimed to be ofHosakerehalli area on Bengaluru's outskirts.

It shows a man carrying a 15-day-old baby above his head, inshoulder-high water, and handing the child to a woman. He is then seen wadingtowards another flooded house, accompanied by other men shouting instructions.
According to an NDTV report, the same group of men savedanother infant from a flooded home in south Bengaluru.
Many other?videos of flooding in Bengaluru went viral afterthe city received 13.2 mm rain from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm on Friday.
Some videos recorded by local residents shows a car floating inGurudutta Layout near Hosakerehalli alongside Vrishabhavathi drain, duringrain. Vehicles in the basement of some apartments and houses in the low-lyingareas were also submerged.

Traffic was disrupted on Mysuru Road, Silk Board junction,Hosur road, Bannerghatta road, Basavanagudi, Nayandahalli, RR Nagar, BG Road,Nayandahalli and other roads.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Fridaypredicted thundershowers at most places over coastal Karnataka, south interiorKarnataka and at isolated places over north interior Karnataka.
This year, Karnataka has been hit by multiple spells offloods which have led to losses of over ? 11,000 crore till now, according tothe state government.
