Compassion towards animals is an important quality to have and people who dedicate their lives to helping the voiceless beings are like their guardian angels.?
According to a PTI report, a disabled cow in a shelter home on Pune-Solapur highway, was fitted with an artificial leg. This will help it stand and walk properly - something it couldn't do at all before. A team of good Samaritans led by Dr Salil Jain, head of prosthetics and orthotics deparment at Sancheti Hospital, Pune, made the artificial leg and gifted it to the cow.?

A few months ago, Amar Jagtap, a pharmacist by profession, visited the gaushala where the cow resides, for some work. There, he noticed the disabled cow without a leg and to lend a helping hand, he approached Pune's Sancheti Hospital. Then, Dr Jain, along with his team, came up with the prosthetic leg for it.
Dr Jain told the news agency, "The cow is now able to stand and is walking slowly. But, it will take at least a month for it to get adjusted to the artificial leg."

Such people bring back our lost faith in humanity and during a difficult time like this, any effort, big or small, needs to be appreciated because good news is what keeps us sane.?
