Have you ever lost something extremely dear to you, only to unexpectedly find it later? If you have, you might be able to relate to this.
Something similar happened to Steph Veerman, who recounted the story on her Twitter account. Steph, who is currently living away from her family because of her college, handed over her pet hamster, Chester, to her father to look after.?
But, one day, the hamster went missing and this Twitter thread is an excerpt from their conversation.
Steph shared the picture of the conversation she had with her father, on Twitter, and it was captioned, ¡®My dad took over my hamster once I went back to college and ended up getting really attached and today he escaped and this goes to prove how truly pure my father is¡¯.
The first screenshot showed how her father is so scared and asking Steph to call him as soon as possible. Later, Steph tells him to not freak out and says, ¡®It¡¯s just a hamster! We will find him¡¯.
Her father feels guilty and keeps apologising?to her. He even says, ¡®This is the absolute worst ever. I'm never going to forgive myself if he doesn't come back.¡¯ He told Steph, ¡®I am willing to miss office tomorrow in order to keep looking for the hamster.¡¯ To which Steph replies, ¡®Dad, he's just a hamster, I don't blame you at all. You shouldn't skip work, you are a lawyer and he is a hamster¡¯.
That is when ¡®Search the hamster¡¯ operation started and Steph¡¯s father laid a trap to find it. He put peanut butter near its cage and spread flour on the floor so that he could trace its steps.
?Finally, they found the hamster, and guess where? In its cage! Her tweet garnered 250.7k likes and lots of heartwarming comments:
