A Mumbai-based entrepreneur revealed her experience with a job applicant who verbally insulted her during a WhatsApp conversation.?
Founder Senain Sawant, who has been battling to find the proper applicants for her start-up Grump, wrote about the experience on LinkedIn, underlining the difficulties that entrepreneurs and employers encounter in finding qualified personnel.

Sawant had scheduled a video interview with the candidate, who had applied for the position of social media executive, through Google Meet for Monday.?
She stated that because the candidate's r¨¦sum¨¦ did not include enough information for immediate recruitment, she wanted to meet with them to determine whether they had the potential to be a social media executive or if they could be trained first as an intern.
"They joined the call with the camera turned off, said they don't own a computer, and something about an iOS update not allowing video calls," Senain Sawant said on LinkedIn.?
When she questioned how they typically worked, the candidate replied that they received a laptop from their former workplace.? ??
"I asked them to join at a time when their video can be turned on since this is an interview and I need to see who I'm speaking with. They said 'Fine' and cut the call," she said.?
"Their tone was off from the start, they weren't audible to begin with and it seemed like they were out in public from the amount of noise in the background."

Sawant released screenshots of the WhatsApp interaction that occurred after the candidate reportedly ended the video connection.?
She pointed out that it was clearly stated in the calendar invite that it would be a video interview and that she had never heard of an iOS version that does not support video calls, as the candidate claimed.?
According to the screenshots of the chat, the candidate became defensive and stated that they had applied for the position of social media executive rather than an internship.?"Your resume speaks otherwise. All the best," Sawant replied.? ?
The candidate stated that they were "okay skipping this one (the role)" and that they had one year of work experience."With all due respect, do not be a bi**h.?
"The arrogance you speak with," the candidate added in their following WhatsApp exchange.Surprised, Sawant said, "Excuse me?"The candidate doubled down, telling the potential employer, "No one would want to speak with you."?
