Farmers protesting against the new contentious farm lawshave, after a significant back-and-forth with the police, received permissionfrom the Delhi Police to conduct a tractor rally on Republic Day.
Just as the farmers gear up for the rally a viral video on Twitter shows a truck giving out free diesel for those participating in the rally.
The person shooting the video says that the special 'DieselLangar' was set up by residents of Mirzapur village in Punjab. In the video, theperson can be heard saying in Punjabi, 'While the government does not think about thesebasic needs, it's the farmers who stand by each other for help.'

The Delhi Police has reportedly said that the farmers canenter Delhi for a few kilometres and then exit at ¡®designation spots¡¯. Threeroutes have reportedly been assigned to farmers to carry out their tractorrally.
According to PTI, farmers' tractor rally is slated to beginamid tight security after the conclusion of Republic Day celebrations.
Expressing dismay at the routes assigned for the rally,Sukhwinder Singh Sabhra of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee told ANI, ¡°We feelthat the kind of permission granted to us for tractor rally is not right. Wewanted to go to the old Ring Road but we were given conditional permission andassigned the portion that comes largely under Haryana.¡±

¡°All we¡¯re saying we just want to go to Ring Road. We¡¯llhave a meeting with the police today over this. Routes will be decided afterthat,¡± the farmer leader further added.
Farmers had proposed to hold the Republic Day tractor rallyon Delhi¡¯s Outer Ring Road. However, three routes other than the proposed onewere allotted for the rally from three border points of Delhi, informed SpecialCommissioner of Police (CP), Intelligence in Delhi Police, Dependra Pathak onSunday.
¡°The tractor rally will enter Delhi from Tikri, Singhu, andGhazipur borders and return to its originating points. From Singhu, it willpass through Kanjhawala, Bawana, Auchandi border, KMP Expressway, and thenreturn to Singhu,¡± Pathak told reporters at a press conference.
Farmers from all across the country are marching towardsDelhi to take part in the scheduled rally.

Farmers have been protesting on the different borders of thenational capital since November 26 against the three newly enacted farm laws ¨CFarmers¡¯ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; theFarmers Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and farmServices Act 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
