How Thousands Of Farmers From Across India Are Converging For Tractor Rally On Republic Day
The farmers union have reached an agreement with the Delhi Police to carry out the tractor march peacefully on Republic Day. Thousands of farmers from across the country protest Centres contentious farm laws. The protesting farmers will hold a 100-km rally in Delhi on January 26.
The agitating farmers have been given the permission to go ahead with the tractor rally on Republic Day after long negotiations with the Delhi Police.
The farmers' union have reached an agreement with the Delhi Police to carry out the tractor march peacefully on Republic Day, as thousands of farmers from across the country protest Centre's contentious farm laws.
"We had five-six long discussions with the Samyukt Kisan Morcha and told them about our security arrangements. We repeatedly said that there should be no disturbance as this [Republic Day Parade] is an event of national pride," Special Commissioner of Police (Intelligence), Delhi Police, Dependra Pathak said.
The protesting farmers will hold a 100-km rally in Delhi on January 26.
Farmers march from Nashik to Maharashtra
Ahead of the tractor rally, thousands of farmers from across Maharashtra made their way to Mumbai on foot on January 25.

In a statement, the Maharashtra unit of The All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) said nearly 15,000 farmers set out from Nashik to Mumbai on Saturday to take part in the joint sit-in at Azad Maidan.
Most of the farmers were on foot while many took tempos and other vehicles to reach the ground.
25,000 tractors from UP to participate
Around 25,000 tractors from Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand will participate in the 'kisan parade' in the national capital on January 26.

Farmers moving towards UP Gate from the two states on their tractor trolleys were intercepted by police in different districts but farmers will arrive here at every cost.
The tractor parade will start from the Ghazipur, Singhu and Tikri border points of Delhi.
Farmer unions have said that thousands of farmers from neighbouring Haryana, Punjab, and western Uttar Pradesh have planned to drive tractors through the national capital on Republic Day.
