From Vision To Reality: Indiatimes Collaborates With BITS Pilani Conquest?
The Conquest is run solely by a committed team of 30 BITS Pilani students and is driven by a single vision: to provide outstanding value to businesses.?This annual startup accelerator provides startups with equity-free grants, guidance from industry leaders, opportunities for networking, media exposure, and access to resources valued at $300,000 or more from partners such as Clevertap, Freshworks, and Searce, thereby catalysing their exponential growth. Conquest is important in India's startup landscape because of the convergence of inspiration, creativity, and guidance.
Conquest gives a transforming experience to the top 30 companies from the approximately 2000 registrations it receives annually. These startups will have the opportunity to meet some of India's top entrepreneurs, CXOs, and startup mentors.
What Is Conquest?
Conquest, a BITS Pilani Centre for Entrepreneurial Leadership programme, is India's first student-run startup accelerator. They assist the greatest founders in building successful businesses and raising capital.
How Will It Go?
The 7-week hybrid startup accelerator includes 6 weeks of online one-on-one mentoring sessions with some of India's top entrepreneurs, CXOs, and startup coaches, such as Monish Darda (Cofounder and CTO, Icertis0), Abhishek Kasina (CPO, Livspace), and Abhinav Tyagi (Senior VP-Marketing, Urban Company).
Conquest also curates interactive sessions beyond specific industries and verticals, adding another layer to the comprehensive mentorship experience. Startups can hone their concepts through competitive pitching sessions, capturing the core of their ventures in a compelling narrative. Furthermore, the accelerator hosts AMAs and interesting fireside discussions with industry heavyweights like Nithin Kamath of Zerodha and Dev Khare of Lightspeed.
Where Will It Take Place?
The top 15 startups travel to Bangalore, India's tech centre, for a week-long offline phase. This all-expenses-paid programme, held last year at WeWork, provided businesses with direct mentorship and valuable training, including investment workshops led by Accel and IDFC First Bank. Startups also have the opportunity to network with industry professionals and participate in mock pitching sessions.
