In a progressive step to help employees take a mental-health break, SoftBank-backed internet commerce firm Meesho has come up with an 11-day companywide break from October 22 to November 1.?
After the hectic holiday shopping season, the company's employees can entirely disconnect from work and prioritize their mental health first, thanks to Reset and Recharge's revolutionary initiative.
According to the company, the decision reflects Meesho's continuing dedication to creating a people-centric workplace, which places a significant emphasis on the overall well-being of employees.?
Meesho hoped that Reset and Recharge would pave the way for other companies to adopt similar employee-first policies when burnout and anxiety are becoming significant problems for today's workforce.
"Building a great company culture requires one to acknowledge that work-life balance, rest, and rejuvenation are key to employee well-being. With Reset and Recharge, we continue to push the envelope and redefine conventional workplace norms," said Ashish Kumar Singh, Chief Human Resources Officer, Meesho.
"Employees can choose to decompress however they want¡ªspending time with near and dear ones, traveling, or picking up a new hobby. Such progressive policies have helped augment our employee centricity and industry-leading retention rates."
Meesho claimed to have developed several first-in-industry and progressive reforms, including a boundaryless workplace model, unlimited wellness leave, 30-week gender-neutral parental leave, and 30-day gender reassignment leave.?
According to the company, the Reset and Recharge policy enhances its ongoing efforts to create a dynamic workplace centered on employee flexibility and empowerment.
Meesho asserts that its extensive MeeCARE program is designed to improve both the employees' and their families' overall well-being. It enables employees to achieve a balance between their work and personal goals. MeeCARE offers plans, benefits, and other interventions that cover a broad range of wellness initiatives.
