The crisis unfolding at the US border gave away another grim reminder of the sorry state of the migrants as a child was seen pleading with Border Patrol to help him after being left abandoned in the desert.?
The video, taken Thursday in the Rio Grande Valley, shows the boy sobbing and saying that he was with a group of individuals crossing the border but was left behind.
Customs and Border Protection said that the 10-year-old boy from Nicaragua was found walking alone on a rural road near La Grulla, Texas,?NBC News reported.?
He woke up and realized he had been left behind by a group of migrants he was travelling with, and he is safe at a Border Patrol facility and will be transferred to the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Refugee Resettlement said.

The incident comes amid a surge of migrants fleeing conditions in Central America and other countries. The boy is one of hundreds of unaccompanied children trying to cross the border each day.
In the latest statistics released by the government last week, it revealed that more than 150,000 migrants were caught by US authorities at the border in March - the highest monthly total in two decades and the latest sign of the mounting humanitarian challenge confronting President Joe Biden.?

Children who arrive at the U.S. border alone are not sent back immediately. They are housed in ¡°processing centers.¡± However, the centers are designed for many fewer people and now are overcrowded, VOA reported.?
The Biden administration has asked several cities to provide temporary shelter for unaccompanied children as it attempts to address the crisis.??
