The one thing that the pandemic has taught all of us is that when it comes to an emergency, we regular citizens help each other in our times of need. No religion, no caste and no gender division matters when everything around us is crumbling.?
So, in another heartwarming instance of the same, a mosque in Hyderabad's Rajendranagar has opened its doors to all coronavirus affected patients who are from weaker sections or living in congested houses and is operating a full-fledged COVID isolation centre.
Indian Express
With the help of voluntary organizations, a spacious double-storied school that is attached to the mosque by the name of Masjid-e-Muhammadi has now been converted into a 40-bed COVID isolation center, equipped with oxygen beds, medical equipment, and a triaging system for first-line COVID treatment. The facility which is being managed by the Helping Hand Foundation is
open to all and services are free of cost. The arrangement includes a twenty classroom set up in the school building which will accommodate two to three patients per room. Separate rooms for pharmacy, doctors, rest area, casualty, and triaging, etc are arranged. Each floor has a separate restroom for men and women.?

The Foundation has donatedwith Rs. 75 Lakh support which will include operational expenses.
The facility will also provide a 24/7 ambulance service where people with COVID would be picked up from their doorsteps.?
Moreover, the facility will have a staff of 50 where members will work in three shifts. Four doctors, four nurses, and four bedside caregivers will work in shifts of 6 hours along with helpers and sanitation staff. This facility will also have a full-time physiotherapist and a dietician.?
This is truly a lesson in humanity and at a time like this, we need people like these who would help anyone in need.?
