The police in the US released a video showing a new born baby girl abandoned in the woods. The child was found struggling inside a plastic grocery bag and was named ¡®Baby India¡¯ by the authorities who found her, the umbilical cord attached.?
The US police released the chilling video and the video shows a police officer taking care of the child. You can hear him saying, ¡°Look at you, sweetheart! Oh, I¡¯m so sorry... look how precious you are.¡±
After the video was released, the police thought that someone would come forward to identify the child who was found on June 6 in Cumming which is 64 kilometres from Atlanta.
Now, over a thousand people from around the world have offered to adopt Baby India. People have reached out to the Forsyth County authorities to adopt the newborn who was found on the roadside by the cops on June 6, according to a report in the People.?
In a statement released on Twitter, Forsyth County sheriff¡¯s office said that they were tracking leads and the investigation was still on. "By releasing the body cam footage from the discovery of Baby India we hope to receive credible info & find closure," the police department added.
The officials have been trying to find the baby¡¯s mother since June 6 and had even asked people on Twitter if they knew of a ¡®female who was in late stages of pregnancy¡¯ in the nearby area.?
The cops said that the baby is ¡®thriving¡¯ and was under the care of the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services.?
The police found the baby when they were called by someone who claimed that they heard a baby crying in the forested area. The officials reached the spot only to find a newborn baby girl in a plastic bag. She was said to be only a few hours old at the time.?
A few days ago, an Indian journalist couple adopted a newborn abandoned baby girl. It all started when Vinod Kapri, an Indian filmmaker based in New Delhi, came across a gut-wrenching video of a wailing baby left in a garbage dump.
Moved to tears, Kapri showed the video to his wife Sakshi Joshi, and the two set out a relentless search and asked the Internet for help to track down the baby.?
The couple soon launched a desperate plea on Twitter to track the baby. In a post written in English, Sakshi Joshi, tweeted a request to her followers to send over any information they could find about the baby.?
They ultimately found the baby and adopted her.
