So, since 'imitation is flattery', this Pakistani artist is winning hearts for his flawless Chaplin-esque antics.?
32-year-old actor, Usman Khan, hails from Pakistan's Peshawar city and has become an overnight star thanks to his perfect imitation of Charlie Chaplin on the streets.?
He wears the iconic bowler's hat, dons a toothbrush moustache and imitates the great comic's penguin-like gait as he portrays the late actor's iconic character from the movie 'The Tramp'.?
He jokingly troubles people on the street with this hilarious antic and news agency AFP posted a video of each and every tactic Khan uses to act out his talent. He ensures that people around him are amused and have a smile on their faces thanks to his act.?
He said that the idea to do so came to him while he was watching a film while on the road to recovery from an illness.?
Speaking to the news agency, he said, "I thought that I would start acting like Charlie and spread happiness among the people, to take their minds off the coronavirus pandemic."?
He added that this has become an important purpose in his life now - to take away people's sadness and sorrows.?
Khan's TikTok page is very popular in the neighbouring country. He has more than 8,50,000 followers on the app and even while he is performing on the streets, his fans come and ask him to click selfies with them.?
Not just people in his city but even netizens are extremely fond of him.
