In the clips, people are seen visiting a sushi restaurant with a conveyor belt where, while waiting for their food, they decide to mess with the food going around on the conveyor belt. One boy licks his finger and then contaminates the sushi on the conveyor belt. These viral videos started a disgusting trend online.
Another person sprays disinfectant on the plates passing by. One was filmed licking communal sauce bottles placed by the restaurant on their table. These unhygienic pranks were caught by the restaurant owners, which led to the police getting involved. The officers accused these people of obstructing "business at major restaurant chain Kura Sushi."
According to AFP, local police officers apprehended three people indulging in such practises in the central Aichi region of Japan on Thursday.?
