Japanese Man 'Transforms' Into A Collie, Now Lives In A Cage To Fulfil His Dream Of Being A Dog
Toco, however, went above and beyond by spending nearly ?12,500 on a lifelike dog costume in order to fully experience the canine way of life.
For some people living like an animal could be a way to escape the complexities and pressures of human life and find a sense of freedom in animal-like behaviour. The freedom to do as you please is one of the best aspects of owning your own home, and for one Japanese man that means being caged.
Even though that freedom is arguably the exact opposite of what you would want to have at home, it enables Toco to contribute to realising his dream of becoming a dog.
The majority of people would probably agree that it would be pretty awesome to be a dog, with nothing to worry about all day other than being a good boy or girl and getting some belly scratches.
Man who spent lakhs to look like a dog now lives in a cage
Toco, however, went above and beyond by spending nearly ?12,500 on a lifelike dog costume in order to fully experience the canine way of life. The would-be dog now opens up about his life on YouTube, where he recently disclosed that he had acquired a massive cage in order to live the canine lifestyle.
According to Toco's video, when he is a dog, he is "locked in a cage" rather than having free reign of the house. In some of the clips, he can be seen locking himself in his tiny cell for the night, pawing at the bars while acting exactly like a collie dog, and pleading to be let out.
He is attached to a leash in preparation for a walk, and he even demonstrates what a good dog he is by offering a toy in exchange for some head scratches.
The man always dreamt of becoming a dog
More than 70,000 YouTube users have watched Toco's most recent video, many of whom have praised him for following his dreams.
In another of his videos, Toco explained that he's "had a vague dream of becoming an animal since [he] was a child" and that this is the reason why he wanted to take a break from human life. "This is what happened when I realised my dream. Ever since I can remember, I've wanted to be an animal," he added.
Toco specifically chose to transform into a collie because that is his "favourite breed" of dog.
He stated, "I especially like cute quadrupedal animals," adding, "The fact that the size difference with humans is not great was also a deciding factor." I'm not sure how comfortable Toco is in his cage, but I'm sure it feels wonderful when he can get out in the morning and stretch his legs.
