Harvey, six, of Smithfield, North Carolina, had been with his foster parents, Brian and Megan Raby, since he was two. Harvey's happiest place was, without a doubt, their home. However, like any foster child, he had an unspoken desire to know he had a permanent family.?
Fortunately, his foster parents shared his feelings towards Harvey. As a result, they secretly agreed to adopt him. They informed him of the wonderful news after it was official, and his reaction was amazing!

Harvey's foster parents, Megan and Brian, sat him down to impart some major news in a viral video, several years after he first came to live with them.
"So there's something special that happened yesterday," Megan says off-screen as Harvey looks at her. "Do you know what might have happened yesterday?"?Brian begins to declare, "Harvey is officially..." after Harvey says, "No," and glances around.
The six-year-old youngster instantly rises from his seat and exclaims, "I'm adopted? "Right now, I'm adopted?"
Harvey appears to be in amazement as Brian tells him that it became official the day before, constantly asking whether he's actually adopted.
"Am I staying here?" "Yay!" Harvey says this before jumping up from his seat and running around the porch, hugging his parents.
"It's such a reminder that beautiful families come in so many different packages," Carson Daly said, adding, "That's right."
