Videos and pictures of how the people of Ukraine have been dealing with probably the most dangerous crisis in their lives have been absolutely heartbreaking. From trying to protect their country to leaving their families forever, the citizens have been going through a lot.?
However, amid this, the Indian government have been trying to evacuate all the nationals who are stuck in the war-stricken country. Indian students especially have been asking for help and finally, help has arrived for them.?
A video has emerged of the same from a SpiceJet special evacuation flight?from Hungary's Budapest to New Delhi.?The aircraft was packed with Indian passengers leaving the country amid the escalating tension between Ukraine and Russia.
The video was shared by SpiceJet's official account on social media where the pilot can be seen making a heartwarming announcement. He says,?¡°On behalf of the entire Spicejet family, we welcome you all onboard on this special flight from Budapest to Delhi. We are very happy to see all of you safe and sound. And are proud of each one of your courage and determination. You overcame the uncertainty, hardship, fear and made it here safely. And, now it¡¯s time to go back to our motherland. It¡¯s time to go home."
The caption of the video, shared by Spicejet on Twitter, read, ¡°#SpiceJet just evacuated our stranded people on our first flight from #Ukraine. We are now en route back to #India. Their optimism made us hopeful of helping more Indians who are witnessing the war, through more SG flights.¡±??
People on the internet loved this heart-melting announcement and lauded the government and SpiceJet for bringing back all the Indians safe and sound. One user said, "Jai Hind -Appreciate your motivational words for all the Indians On Board Chief." Another user commented, "Salute to the Pilots and crew members, great job thank you from India."
Indians who are stranded in Ukraine amid the war are being evacuated out of the country under an initiative called ¡®Operation Ganga¡¯ launched by the government of India. Under this, India has already successfully brought back more than 1,000 nationals from the war-torn country. It has also set up 24¡Á7 control rooms to assist in the evacuation of Indians through the borders of Hungary, Poland, Romania and the Slovak Republic.
The Indian embassy in Kyiv has also asked all Indians to evacuate the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv immediately.
