Every year, Global Passport Index ranks passports of various countries signifying how powerful they are.
As per the rankings for 2018, UAE has the most powerful passport, with both individual rank and global power rank being 1. The weakest passport is that of Afghanistan with an individual rank of 199 and global power rank of 93.

India has an individual rank of 140 and a global power rank of 66, which is not exactly a great place to be. However, the good part is, since 2017 India has gained 8 places net visa-free change is concerned. This means that since last year, Indian passports have been provided visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 8 more countries.
Global Passport Index ranks passports of various countries based on how many countries its citizens (with a valid passport) can visit visa-free, avail visa on arrival or require proper visa for in advance.

3.?United Nations Development Programme Human Development Index 2015 (UNDP HDI) is used as a tie breaker. The UNDP HDI is a significant measure on the country¡¯s perception abroad.
