Bollywood¡¯s OG bubbly queen, Preity Zinta, just dropped truth bombs about her political aspirations (or lack thereof), and her response is the sass-filled drama we didn¡¯t know we needed! During a recent AskMe session on X, a fan asked her the million-dollar question: Is she planning to join politics? Her reply? A big, fat NO! But that¡¯s not all, she went on to reveal that over the years, multiple political parties have tried to woo her with tickets and Rajya Sabha seats, but she has politely declined each time.
And if you think she stopped there, think again! Preity didn¡¯t just reject the idea of politics, she threw in a solid dose of fauji kid pride. She explained that growing up in an army household shaped her in a way that goes beyond regional identity. "We are not North Indian or South Indian or Himachalis or Bengalis. We are just Indians, and yes, patriotism runs in our blood," she emphasized, making it clear where her real loyalties lie.
But the real tea was spilled when another fan brought up a past incident where she was allegedly attacked by a political party. When asked if it had changed her views on politics, Preity didn¡¯t hold back. She expressed her dismay at how toxic social media in India has become, lamenting that every comment gets weighed on a political scale. She clarified that while she has no political ambitions, she isn¡¯t one to back down from online trolls. "I¡¯m not a pushover, so if anyone tries to bully me, they¡¯ll be in for a rude shock!" she said with her signature sass.
Meanwhile, Preity was also caught up in an unexpected online clash with the Congress¡¯s Kerala unit. The party accused her of handing over her social media accounts to the BJP and having an 18-crore loan written off. However, Mumbai Police later confirmed that she wasn¡¯t even remotely linked to the alleged scam. Not one to stay silent, Preity swiftly shut down the rumours, proving yet again that she¡¯s got no time for fake news!
