It seems something is deeply troubling SEVENTEEN leader S.Coups, as he posted a series of messages on the app Weverse, which connects fans with idols. His first message, a single word, had left many SEVENTEEN fans, known as CARATs, feeling worried.
While fans flooded the comments with messages of concern and support, S.Coups continued to share his honest thoughts through more posts, leading fans to question both PLEDIS Entertainment and its parent company, HYBE.
He first posted the word "Frustrated," prompting fans to ask what was wrong. He later responded, "Just a lot of different situations¡ ha¡"
He followed up with, "I feel like it's become the most difficult just to make music and perform on stage with the members happily without thinking about anything."
Seeing his frustration, fans couldn't hide their anger toward PLEDIS Entertainment and HYBE, demanding answers and expressing their concerns over the situation.
One fan wrote, "I think it¡¯s a situation that hasn¡¯t been agreed upon by all the members. PLEDIS, HYBE¡ wake up seriously. It must be bad if the leader is saying something so openly."
Another commented, "I got this feeling after seeing his post. PLEDIS is a company obsessed with money that won¡¯t reflect the opinions of the members despite being in the industry for ten years. They are just taking their money by sending them overseas."
One fan reassured the leader, saying, "S.Coups, you don't have to be positive all the time. It's perfectly okay to feel frustrated. It¡¯ll be fine¡ don¡¯t worry, dude. Real Carats got your back!"
Another speculated, "I don't know why, but I feel like today's S.Coups post has something to do with SEVENTEEN's Europe tour. Now, when so many K-pop groups are adding tours in Europe, there's still no information about SEVENTEEN's Europe tour."
On February 18, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) unveiled its annual Global Album Sales Chart, which ranks the top-selling albums worldwide based on physical sales and digital downloads. K-pop artists dominated the list, with SEVENTEEN securing two spots¡ªSpill the Feels at No. 3 and 17 is Right Here at No. 4.
