Joe Rogan has recently joined the ongoing controversy surrounding Justin Baldoni and the power couple, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. On a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the comedian and former host expressed his support for Baldoni, claiming that many in Hollywood are intimidated by Blake and Ryan. This comes amid a high-profile legal dispute involving Baldoni, Lively, and Reynolds.
For those who may be unaware, the legal dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni began in December 2024. Lively initially filed a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department, alleging sexual harassment by Baldoni on the set of their film It Ends with Us,?which he also directed. In response, Baldoni filed a lawsuit against The New York Times for libel and invasion of privacy after they published an article about Lively's complaint.
Rogan didn¡¯t hold back in his critique of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, suggesting that their tactics have created an environment where many are scared to speak out. ¡°Everyone is scared of them,¡± he said on his podcast, highlighting the pressure surrounding the celebrity couple.
Rogan also made it clear that he is on Baldoni¡¯s side, praising the actor-director as a ¡°sweet, nice guy¡±, despite the negative public narrative surrounding him. The podcaster emphasised his belief in Baldoni's integrity, even in the face of public scrutiny.
Rogan went on to explain the situation in more detail, describing it as "crazy" and hinting that both Blake and Ryan were trying to gain control over the movie and its potential franchise. He further mentioned that Baldoni is currently suing The New York Times and seems to have a solid case, referring to the incident involving Lively asking Baldoni to come to her dressing room while she was breastfeeding.
¡°They have text exchanges going back and forth. They just thought no one was going to come out with the receipts,¡± Rogan continued. "Ryan and Blake are A-list.¡±
Rogan also spoke about Ryan Reynolds trying to distance himself from the legal battle, although the opposing side maintains that his involvement is crucial to the case.
In response to Baldoni¡¯s lawsuit, Blake Lively is seeking its dismissal, calling it ¡°vengeful and rambling¡±. Lively¡¯s legal team has filed a motion asking the court to permanently dismiss the case, prevent Baldoni from revising or refiling the lawsuit, and award Lively compensation, including legal fees and damages for harm to her reputation and emotional well-being.
Lively's attorneys, Mike Gottlieb and Esra Hudson, argue that Baldoni¡¯s lawsuit is a misuse of the legal system. They cite California law that protects victims of sexual harassment or retaliation who speak out, either through lawsuits or the media, and believe the case should be thrown out.
Blake and Justin Baldoni's lawsuits are set for a?March 2026 hearing, with a pre-trial in February 2025??
