Home Alone is one of the most loved and watched holiday movies. For the uninitiated, the movie is about a little kid who gets stuck in his house alone when his family forgets to take him on vacation. He even fights some robbers all alone.?
Something similar to a kid in China.
The kid's parents were stranded in another city owing to a coronavirus lockdown. This is when the teenager living in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province, China had to look after himself.??
According to a local daily, the boy's parents travelled to Shanghai on February 28 for medical treatment. The parents were in Shanghai when a lockdown was declared, preventing them from seeing their child until the end of April.
But this is not it. The teenager didn't only fend for himself but also took care of his two pets, a dog and a cat, while simultaneously attending online classes.?The boy also cleaned the cat¡¯s litter box, walked the dog and bathed the two animals.
The kid's mother recalled the entire incident to the press. She mentioned that even when she was concerned about the child's safety, he would reassure her.?¡°He was very optimistic. He even reassured me, saying: ¡®Why are you crying? There¡¯s nothing to worry about. You can teach me how to cook,¡¯¡± she said.
She had planned food deliveries in March to help her son get through the ordeal, but these were halted after Kunshan was placed under lockdown. The youngster then learned to cook over the phone from his mother.
When the mother returned back home in April after the lockdown was lifted, she noticed that her kid and their two pets actually gained weight while living alone.?
However, while the animals and kids were safe and sound, the status of the house wasn't so. "There was no place for us to even put our foot down," the mother stated, describing the situation as "messy."??
However, his mother complimented him.?¡°What I must praise him for is that he has managed his situation well over the past two months. He never complained; instead, he often comforted us. He is much stronger and more optimistic than we previously thought.¡±
Well, all's well that end's well.?
