The heavy rainfall on Monday brought the?Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru to a standstill.?
The roads leading to the airport were waterlogged due to heavy rainfall, making it difficult for the passengers to reach the airport.?The airport received around 93mm of rain in just a few hours, flooding areas near the pick-up and drop points inside the airport premises.
Several taxis were stranded on the roads leading to the terminals as hundreds of passengers waited with luggage.
Passengers shared videos and clips on Twitter where they were forced to take a tractor to commute to the airport and catch their flights.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall likely to occur over Belgavi, Gadag, Dharwad and Haveri districts of north interior Karnataka and Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga, Kodagu, Hassan, Kolar, Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban, Tumakuru, Chikkaballapura and Ramanagara districts of south interior Karnataka.??
