With schools closed, some parents shared videos and photographs of their flooded driveways and service roads to justify the need for a vacation and work-from-home.
For its part, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike has advised residents to "stay indoors, close windows and doors, and avoid travel if possible".?
However, netizens reacted negatively to these claims because the sun shone brightly in certain parts of Bengaluru.One of the X users, D.Shivsagar, injected a sense of humour while uploading photos of flooded roads and waterlogging in Bengaluru, including routes that go through upscale neighbourhoods.
Another user described Bangalore's streets as a "wild ride" and provided a video of the traffic conditions following the downpour.
