Social media users had a field day ridiculing Bengaluru's shoddy infrastructure after heavy rains caused widespread flooding, often known as India's Silicon Valley.Manyata Tech Park in Bengaluru, one of India's largest corporate hubs, was swamped in knee-deep water during a downpour on Monday night.?

Several videos showing the IT hub transforming into a "swimming pool" appeared on X, prompting netizens to criticize the IT hub's infrastructure.The rare October rain caused high water stagnation at key city crossroads such as the Silk Board, making getting from one location to another nearly difficult. With schools closed, some parents shared videos and photographs of their flooded driveways and service roads to justify the need for a vacation and work-from-home.

For its part, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike has advised residents to "stay indoors, close windows and doors, and avoid travel if possible".?

However, netizens reacted negatively to these claims because the sun shone brightly in certain parts of Bengaluru.One of the X users, D.Shivsagar, injected a sense of humour while uploading photos of flooded roads and waterlogging in Bengaluru, including routes that go through upscale neighbourhoods.

Another user described Bangalore's streets as a "wild ride" and provided a video of the traffic conditions following the downpour.
