A Silicon Valley CEO paid a heartfelt homage to Ratan Tata, stating he "wouldn't be here" if it weren't for the wealthy benefactor. Arnav Sahu, a Principal at Y Combinator, said Ratan Tata's scholarship program enabled him to study in the United States and pursue a career in the country of opportunity. Sahu is one of the students who benefited from Ratan Tata's scholarship scheme and attended Cornell University.
Following his passing, several people whose lives he impacted in large and small ways paid tribute to the industrialist. Among them was Arnav Sahu, a recipient of Ratan Tata's Tata Scholarship Fund, which helps Indian students at Cornell University.
¡°This is a really sad moment for me. Ratan Tata's scholarship program allowed me to come to the US. He even paid for my flight ticket, laptop, books and rent. Many of us wouldn't be here without him. One of the most important philanthropists of all time. RIP,¡± Sahu wrote on X.
Ratan Tata, Tata Sons chairman emeritus, died on Wednesday night at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. He was 86. Tata, who was known for his humanism and philanthropy as well as his financial skill, died, leaving a slew of fans devastated.??
Sahu is currently situated in the San Francisco Bay area.
