Chitranash Anand, a 24-year-old software developer from Bangalore, has caught everyone's attention by securing a lucrative job offer from Uber with a salary package of Rs 60 lakh per annum. An NIT Allahabad graduate, the techie leveraged his two years of experience at Oracle, where he enjoyed a Rs 40 LPA package and a balanced work-life routine, to secure a prestigious role at the transportation company.
Anand's journey is one of persistence, skill, and determination. Over seven months, he diligently prepared for Uber's rigorous interview process, ultimately tasting success with four rounds of assessments, including two that pushed him to his limits. Set to begin a new chapter with Uber next month, the young lad is beaming with joy as he embraces this major shift.
Chitransh Anand credited his success to diligent preparation. He frequented platforms like LeetCode and Levels.fyi, where he discovered Uber's job listing. With unwavering determination, Anand spent seven months intensively preparing, often pulling all-nighters, to conquer the challenging interview process.
"I would go through the discussion boards on Leetcode and Levels; it's where I found out about the vacancy at Uber and decided to apply for it," Anand told Moneycontrol. "The questions were beyond the scope of what I had previously studied, but I managed to crack it," a confident Anand told the publication.
Sharing his family's reaction to the joyful news, he revealed that his parents, especially his mother, are extremely proud of him. "They were very happy. My mom lives with me in Bengaluru and she has seen my sleepless nights and late-night studies so she was very happy. They also told me to focus on my health now," he said.
Anand revealed that he had an open conversation with his future manager and explored company discussion forums. He has been assured that he wouldn't be facing long hours at work; however, he added that he does not mind pushing himself if needed. ¡°I need to make the most of the opportunities available and work hard. I can figure out a better balance later in life," he said.
When asked about his financial plans, Anand revealed he intends to boost investments in stocks and mutual funds. "I have no immediate plans for buying a house or car, but may reconsider in two years," he added.
