According to a report by The Indian Express on Monday, a remarkable feat unfolded as a group of 300 women from Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh handcrafted 100,000 diyas within an unprecedented 12-hour time frame.?
Nimit Singh, associated with an NGO, revealed to The Indian Express that he received an order for 100,000 beeswax diyas from Ayodhya's municipal commission on Jan 18.?Each diya is priced at Rs 5. Upon securing the contract, Singh promptly organized women from Chainpurwa and Rajauli villages.?
In a matter of hours, a group of 300 women commenced work at a manufacturing facility in Chainpurwa.Singh informed the publication that the women laboured continuously through the night to produce the diyas within 12 hours.?
He mentioned that he delivered the ceremonial lamps to the municipal commission's office on Saturday.?
Additionally, he emphasised that the beeswax diyas, unlike traditional ones, contribute to maintaining cleanliness in the area, and their manufacturing process does not involve the use of paints, as reported by The Indian Express.
